KILGORE — Dozens of traditional cars and trucks and vehicles lined downtown Kilgore streets Saturday night for a gathering that also captivated shoppers to downtown companies.
Kilgore Mercantile & Songs partners with the Lone Star Lug Nuts, an location motor vehicle club for vehicle lovers, to host the regular Kilgore Cruise Night time.
“I like to dangle out and chat to all the motor vehicle fellas,” claimed Dean Gooch of Henderson, who brought his 1966 Shelby Cobra duplicate to the occasion. “All these men correct here are my buddies. It’s a fantastic, relaxing time, and I love the camaraderie of the car men.”
Gooch’s auto was a single of about 50 traditional autos shown Saturday at the clearly show. Meanwhile, much more than 100 attendees invested the night chatting outdoors, feeding on at regional places to eat and traveling to downtown shops.
Vivian Gebhardt, who owns Kilgore Mercantile & Tunes with her spouse, reported the regular monthly Cruise Night time is free and is supposed as an exercise to provide the group jointly and to draw consumers downtown.
There is no entry price to have a traditional car featured, and there is also no entry payment for attendees, Gebhardt said. Cruise Night members can signal up for a totally free entry into a drawing to get prizes contributed by Kilgore business owners, she said.
Saturday was the fourth time the enterprise has hosted the Kilgore Cruise Evening, Gebhardt reported. It is held the fourth Saturday night of each and every thirty day period in downtown.
